Ginny is the owner and original founder of Sprout. Over many years, Ginny tinkered with the idea of a rural oasis that she could call home and share with others, building a supportive, inclusive community that could affect positive change. While working full time, pursuing a graduate degree, and raising two babies, she slogged through a business plan, and was successful in getting seed funding from the NC Conservation Fund, as a woman owned, operated, and incubated, agricultural education and experiential opportunity. The farm was purchased in 2018 and with the support of then farm manager Montana Keller, Sprout opened its doors in the Fall of that same year. With the exception of COVID, Sprout has thrived ever since as a creative outlet and collaborative.
